At Legacy, we are dedicated to leveraging data-driven insights to enhance our decision-making processes and drive business growth. We are seeking a motivated Marketing Data Analytics Intern to join our team and contribute to our mission of harnessing data for impactful business solutions.

Job Overview:

The Marketing Data Analytics Intern will play a crucial role in supporting our marketing data analytics initiatives by analyzing data, creating reports, and providing insights that will inform our strategic decisions across the funnel. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Excel, be proficient in SQL, and have some familiarity with Metabase or similar BI tools. They also should have working knowledge of how an e-commerce business functions and how a marketing funnel operates. This internship will provide hands-on experience in marketing data analytics, offering valuable learning opportunities in a real-world business environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Extract, clean, and analyze data from various sources using SQL.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets to track and report key metrics.
  • Create and generate reports and dashboards in Metabase and PostHog to visualize data insights.

Ecommerce and Marketing

  • Provide insights into every step of the marketing funnel
  • Meet with the marketing team to understand how initiatives impact purchases and revenue

Collaborative Projects

  • Work closely with the marketing and finance teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with different departments to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a degree. To us, it doesn’t matter what the degree is as long as you have a baseline knowledge of ecommerce and know how to work with numbers.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, including functions, pivot tables, and data visualization.
  • Familiarity with Metabase or other BI tools is a plus.

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret and present data insights clearly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of a marketing funnel and how e commerce businesses operate

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
