ProcessBolt is hiring a Software Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include implementing visual elements and their behaviors with user interactions. You will work with both front-end and back-end developers to build all client-side logic. You will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions. Love of all things Javascript (JQuery, Stimulus js, Vue js) and familiarity with Ruby on Rails is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Ensure product UI usability remains intuitive
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds
• Understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3 and frameworks (Bootstrap 3 and 4)
• Good understanding of JQuery, Stimulus js and Vue js.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
• Familiarity with JavaScript module loaders, such as Require.js
• Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Grunt and Gulp.js
• Proficient understanding of Git
• Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is desirable
• Good understanding of developing and testing secure code
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in UI/UX engineering (Web Applications)
